You wear a watch for a year, and when you take it off, you notice its absence. You keep touching your wrist, trying to recreate the feel of those metal links against your skin, trying to feel like its still there, even when its not. 

I don’t want to wait a year for you to miss my hand around your throat. So I’m going to get to work. You won’t be able to just have my hand there, day in day out, slowly working its way into your mind as something that is part of you, a constant pressure that you grow accustomed to you. 

No, I’m going to leave an impression. Every moment those fingers are around that delicate pipe, you’re going to be oh so aware of it. Every second that ticks by, you’re going to understand and notice the thick weight of my palm bearing down, the kind of pressure that you can’t get away from, that follows you when you move.

An hour like that and you’ll swear it was a year. An hour with me, and you’ll be touching your neck for days, desperately chasing that feeling, if only for a moment. But your hands aren’t big enough, they aren’t foreign enough. And, most importantly, they’re not mine. And only mine will do. 

I want to leave a cavity in your mind that only I can fill.
